The 35th annual Pewaukee Kiwanis RiverRun was held Saturday, May 10. The race was postponed 2 weeks due to high water. The event is typically held on the last Saturday of April each year.

Chilly temps greeted early arriving paddlers eager to get low starting numbers. Sunny skies were enjoyed all morning long as the theremometer eventually rose to 60 degrees. The 141 boats that registered experienced fast water on the Pewaukee river and turned in the best times on record!

The 6-mile race ends at Frame Park, Waukesha. The final mile of the race is on the Fox river. The annual event put on by the Pewaukee Kiwanis raises money for local charities such as the food pantry, high school scholarships, summer camp for disabled kids and others.

The RiverRun is made possible by support of local businesses, individuals and the $25 registration fee.

Unclaimed trophies can be picked up at Koepp Realty, Oakton and Wisconsin Aveues, Pewaukee during normal business hours.
